Thank you for your support!
Our target initially was to raise £27,000, to meet an agreed 3-year budget for CEEACO's three priority projects for 2009-2011. Our emergency appeal of November 2009 raised over £8,000 toward an additional budget for an emergency relief and strategic peace-building project. We have since extended our commitment by a further £15,000 as well, in response to CEEACO's request for a vehicle to serve as an ambulance for the Abeka community hospital.
We have been able to extend our commitment this way due to the very generous support of many regular and occasional donors. These have included individual Quakers in the Cambridgeshire and Manchester & Warrington areas, and their Area Meetings; those who have responded to our national appeals in The Friend; and also Quaker Peace & Service Trust New Zealand and Quaker Peace & Social Witness of Britain Yearly Meeting.
Thank you again to all of our supporters. Please continue and extend your support to Quaker Congo Partnership, to help us meet our commitments and extend our support to our partners in Eastern Congo.
